Our Walk To The Post Box

IMG_2441 IMG_2442 IMG_2443 IMG_2444

Yesterday we all walked to the post box on Valley Road to post our letters to ourselves!  We really enjoyed our walk and we are excited to receive our letters to our home addresses!  Miss Stevens, Mrs Haynes and Miss Rubie were really impressed with how well behaved we were on the walk and how well we followed instructions to keep ourselves safe!  We all got three Class Dojos each!!

Miss Stevens says “when your letter arrives at your house please bring it in to show us and the envelope too”.

Half Term

Hello elephants!

I hope you had a good half term.  Please let us know if you did anything exciting during your week off in the comments section below.

I went on a train journey with my daughter to Sheffield.  We went on some fairground rides, visited a museum, did some shopping and played in the Peace Gardens and Winter Gardens and ended the day with a big cuddle and a story before bedtime.

I also took her to her first football match. She really enjoyed it but the loud noise when our team scored made her jump!

What did you do?

Miss Stevens 😀

Welcome Back

Hi elephants.

I was just wondering if anyone could think of any interesting adjectives (describing words) to describe Bonfire Night?  We could add them to our working wall and use some of them in our Bonfire Night poetry later in the week… Please leave your ideas as comments below, thanks, Miss Stevens 😀

Active Learn Homework

Hi everyone

the children are beginning to use Active Learn within class to support their learning.  The children are regularly assigned activities to complete within class and/ or at home.  The children will only be assigned work to do as they are learning it in class, so that these activities consolidate their learning.  The activities assigned will mostly be mathematical activities but may also include a reading activity. As the children log on to the website assigned activities will be numbered on the tab ‘My Stuff’.  Within each activity there may be three different levels (typically Bronze, Silver and Gold).  All children must begin on Bronze level and ‘unlock’ the other levels through their progress.

The children who have already accessed this website within class have really enjoyed it, so I will look forward to seeing your child’s progress when I look at the children’s data when I access the administrator aspect of the website on a regular basis.

The log in details for your child are stuck in the back of their reading record.  The school code is: hqsa

Any problems or issues, please feel free to speak to one of the Elephants team.
